A case of mistaken identity

In the early hours of this lovely morning, but a few minutes after midnight. so quite i can hear myself breathing a though is playing within my mind.

just how much influence does hollywood have on the pagan community is my thoughts. films like "secret circle" and countless more, great entertainment but a concern arises with that entertainment. having been asked the question already whether the harry potter spells can be used is one manifestation of the influence that these stories has on some pagans. i have even come across a case where a youngster attempted to copy a scene in one of the "supernatural" series and to his astonishment and misfortune it actually worked. this youngster ended up with rather serious results from this little copied working.
with happenings like this i cannot help but wonder just how much these movies influences some pagans. especially seekers of whom comes into the craft very eager to learn, yearning for knowledge, and, they look at these movies and the perception of "oh ok this is what it is all about" may very well manifest very strongly in their understanding.
the depiction of us as a community portrayed in these movies are mostly christian viewpoints of what we are. now i pose the question, with these movies having to a very large extent a christian view just how much of our identity is actually "controlled" within our own ranks as to who and what we are. is this possibly the reason why especially among the youth the high level of attempts at "cursing" each other is so prevalent.
the ongoing "battles" depicted in these movies not only gives rise to a misguided and controlled understanding of who and what we are but so too may create the playing field for the "battlefield" of constant control of others within the craft as being normal.
have we lost control of our identity because of this, have we to an extend allowed these influences in "creating" a misguided identity in our ranks.
i mean really if i get asked a "serious" question of using the harry potter spells then my mind will wonder.
if we look at the manifestation of the craft, do a search on the internet for example and these concepts are to be found all over. is this our true identity or is it to a large extent a christian viewpoint brought across into our ranks via the hollywood "stories"
if this is to be taken as a reality, and to a large extent within my own mind it is so then in a twisted way i find it humorous that the very same people that vehemently rejects the christian teachings allow the christian viewpoint of who and what we are to infect and control our identity.
there are many such depictions brought across by the film industry into many communities, not only pagan, that influences people and their understandings. take as example the american indian depiction and balance the films depictions with reality and a very large misconception will be found. i can understand that in order to generate money from these films leads to the industry having to create these invented personifications but i nevertheless beg to ask the question, even within this need to boost a story, cant it be done within the actuality of the correct identity of the community affected.
a fine balance, i fine dividing line, a chasm of misconceptions in between resulting in a misconception so large in some cases that the true identity of a community disappears in reality, once seen on the big screen.
ha ha ha who knows maybe a "hymn" played backwards will reveal a spell of some sort, now that would be funny, ere in fact not unknown when thinking of the satanic practice of the "black mass" of which is the inversion of the traditional catholic mass.
a twist in reality, a twist of understanding, do it long enough and it becomes an identity created.
